AI/ML Architect

Grid Dynamics is looking for an AI/ML Architect who will be leading major client engagements in the ML/CV/GenAI areas, pre-sales pursuits across Europe and the USA, and innovative RnD projects. The right candidate will have deep technical knowledge, domain expertise, and strong leadership skills to contribute towards the development of the global AI/ML practice.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-Sales and Consulting: Lead data science and AI consulting engagements, pre-sales activities and assessments, and discovery workshops. Plan data science and AI programs of Fortune-1000 enterprises and lead teams of data scientists who work on client accounts and drive consulting engagements to success.

• Technology Strategy and R&D: Create and bring to the market solutions in enterprise data science, computer vision, and generative AI. Responsible for driving innovation through research and development activities on industry trends, leading RnD teams, and developing assets and solutions strategies across multiple industries.

• Engineering: Working with Grid Dynamics’s delivery organization to ensure that the right tools, technologies, and processes are in place across the firm to transform and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of AI/ML solutions for our clients.

• Partnership Development: Develop relationships with key technology partners such as AWS, GCP, or  Azure.

Requirements:

• Extensive practical experience in at least one of the following domains:

• Marketing analytics and personalization: targeting models, hybrid recommendation models, visual search, next best action, media mix modeling.

• Supply chain and pricing: price and promotion optimization, inventory optimization, transportation optimization.

• Smart manufacturing: visual quality control, anomaly detection, process monitoring, process optimization. 

• Deep understanding of traditional machine learning methods (regression modeling, causal inference, etc.) and methodologies (feature engineering, bias correction, etc.); optimization and operations research methods (LP, MIP, etc.)  

• Strong hands-on experience with deep learning and CV in enterprise applications (image preprocessing, segmentation, object detection, video analytics, etc.)

• Strong experience with designing, managing, and delivering sophisticated end-to-end analytical and CV solutions (complex pipelines, vector search, mobile/edge deployments, etc.) 

• Hands-on experience with ML platforms and tooling including open-source and cloud native (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

• Deep domain knowledge in at least one of the following industries: 

• Manufacturing (resource planning, operations, IoT, etc.)

• Retail (marketing, personalization, supply chain, etc.)

• Finance (risk management, portfolio management, fraud protection, etc.)

• Life sciences (commercial pharma)

Technology skills (any of the below):

• Strong Python programming skills

• PyTorch, PySpark, OpenCV, XGBoost, Pandas, ORTools 

• ML platforms/tools: GCP Vertex AI, AWS Sagemaker

• At least a basic understanding of modern DevOps/MLOps practices
