Senior Java Engineer

Santa Clara, CA, US

We are looking for a passionate software engineer to develop applications and platform systems, coordinating data analytics pipelines at a massive scale. Our customer is one of the world’s largest technology companies based in Silicon Valley with operations all over the world. In this project, you’ll join a newly formed team, building out new infrastructure from design to production.

Responsibilities:

Design and development of core Java- and Scala-based Microservices and applications
Design, support and continuously enhance the developed codebase, continuous integration pipeline, etc.
Interact with a variety of teams including Cloud infrastructure-, Data Science-, ML- and Big Data engineering teams

Requirements:

Expertise in Java development
Proficient in Scala
Hands-on experience with Kafka or equivalent messaging system
Solid understanding of big data fundamentals and concepts
Experience designing highly reliable and low latency Microservices
Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Nice to have:

Predictive analytics experience
Feature engineering
AWS experience
Kubernetes
Cassandra or equivalent database
Spark experience
Lead experience
