Senior Software Engineer (Java, Spring)

Krakow, Poland

We are ramping up a new team in Krakow to work on project related to migration the tools and services to new Google infrastructure. You will help to automate the process, support users of these systems across the company, enhance, maintain and update tools and services used to manage front stores and handle order lifecycle, contribute to creating new automation to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

It is a US electronics and fitness company, that produces wireless-enabled wearable technology, physical fitness monitors and activity trackers such as smart watches, pedometers and monitors for heart rate, quality of sleep and stairs climbed, and related software.

Project stack:

Java
Spring
Hibernate
MySql

Requirements:

Demonstrated expertise with open source/Linux environments
Working knowledge of Java, Spring, Hibernate
Experience working with MySQL
Experience in designing and automating repetitive processes
Experience with Prometheus or other visibility tools
Excellent organization and communication skills
Ability to participate in the team’s 16/6 rotation (occasionally)
Ability to work from office in Krakow

Responsibilities:

Contribute to migrating services to Google tools and infrastructure
Maintain and update platforms and services used to manage front stores at fitbit.com
Handle order lifecycle
Create new automation to reduce waste and improve efficiency
Support users of these systems across the company
Routinely collect feedback from internal customers to improve services
