Big Data Engineer Intern

We are looking for interns in Bucharest, Romania! Acquire practical skills, gain industry experience, and build a network of professionals in the Big Data engineering area.

Essential functions

  • Learning under the supervision of an experienced programmer
  • Spend 30-40 hours per week for 6 months on developing yourself in your chosen field
  • Working closely with your mentor on daily tasks

Qualifications

  • Java/Scala/Python background
  • Knowledge of algorithms and Data Structures basics
  • SQL/RDS basics (syntax, normalization principles, etc.)
  • Understanding of code quality principles (unit, functional, integration, performance testing)
  • English: Upper-Intermediate or higher
  • Education: computer/data science, mathematics or other technical departments are highly preferable

Would be a plus

  • Problem-solving skills
  • Communication and other soft skills
  • Practical experience with version of control (e.g. GIT)
  • Hands-on experience with Big Data frameworks/libraries (Pandas, Spark etc.)
