Accountant

• Create relevant Journal Entries in the ERP system
• Provide support in the preparation of weekly reports to management on consolidated cash balances, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable analysis
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly international accounting package in line with US GAAP and corporate policy
• Perform payments in the e-banking system for Moldova/Romania entities
• Assist with the preparation, review, and support to the quarterly audit reviews and year-end audit
• Interface with departments outside of Finance to provide timely financial information, and to help facilitate effective communication between admin, HR staff, suppliers and accounting agencies
• Work as an integral part of the accounting team on monthly closing, under tight deadlines
• Assist in various ongoing and ad-hoc projects or initiatives requested by management
• Participation in the integration of NetSuite/OpenAir ERP system
• Participation in the SOX implementation and ongoing SOX controls procedures

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• 4+ years of professional experience
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles - Moldovan accounting standards (Romanian accounting standards/IFRS/US GAAP is a plus)
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Experience in e-banking systems
• Excellent Romanian skills, Romanian accounting degree/experience is an advantage
• Experience in accounting in the IT field is an advantage
• SOX experience is preferable, but not required
• Upper-intermediate/intermediate in English and in MS Office
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and positive attitude
• Ability to work required overtime during critical periods, such as month/quarter/year end reporting or special projects
• Experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus, but not a requirement
